Rani was a beautiful, shy princess, who paid no attention to worldly things and practical matters. Rani believed she could speak to the Sun and the Trees and the Moon, but no one believed her. So she just stayed to herself, singing and frolicking with her animal friends. Sheena was a princess with striking beauty and wit, but often-times a jealous heart. An object of admiration by many men, and indulgence from her mother, Sheena believed she could get whatever she wanted.
Rani had no passion for politics or marriage. She preferred to play with her animal friends instead. Upon meeting Daman, the price of the kingdom of the north, she seems to find a kindred spirit, and all in life seems well. Dreams of impending peril haunt her, but she pays them no heed. The Sun chuckled when she mentioned it to him, great bursts of golden light showering down with each laugh. “Rani, I’ve told you on many a morning, those are just dreams, fantasies that your mind makes up to keep itself occupied while your eyes are closed and your body is resting.”
The Sun asked her but one question: “Yes Sheena, I can grant you this wish, but for what reason should all men love you? For your beauty? Or for all the other gifts that you have? If they love you for your beauty, then their love will last only for a short time.” Sheena then replied: “Sun, I don’t care why and how they love me. Just make them love me, as I so deserve.” The Sun then beamed the brightest beam imaginable and caught the attention of every man, including Daman. Each eligible man became immediately curious about Sheena and tried to pursue her.
Daman’s Demon ancestors began to surround him. With so many thoughts in his head, Daman could sleep no longer. How could he make all of the kingdoms of BollyWorld his and only his? Would he raise an army and conquer Rani and Sheena’s lands? Or would he usurp them through trickery and deceipt?
